CMYK Printing colour space
CMYK stands for, respectively, cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (or key colour).
CMYK identifies the four colours used in traditional printing press's for catalogue production.
In contrast, capture devices such as scanners, digital camera's and computer monitors
use a different colour model called RGB, which stands for Red, Green and Blue.
RGB is used for viewing images on computer monitors, uses such as Internet, email and Databases.
One of the most difficult aspects of desktop publishing is colour matching and properly converting the RGB colours into CMYK.
A properly colour managed workflow matches the original to screen, through to final print.
This is achieved through colour mapping (profiling) the workflow from camera or scanner to the printing press.
Our CMYK files are supplied with a ISO 12647 certified proof.
